About BabyPlanner
BabyPlanner builds free, private calculators that help parents plan the everyday math of raising a baby.
Our Mission
BabyPlanner exists to take the guesswork out of the everyday math of raising a baby. From estimating monthly diaper costs to planning formula amounts and nursery setups, the early years are full of small calculations that add up fast. We build free, accurate, and easy-to-use tools that give you a clear starting point in seconds, so you can spend less time crunching numbers and more time with your little one.
Every calculator on this site is designed to be mobile-first. We know parents reach for their phones with one hand while holding a baby in the other, so our tools are fast to load, simple to tap through, and work well on small screens.
Who BabyPlanner Is For
Our tools are built for the people doing the day-to-day work of caring for children:
- New and current parents who want quick, realistic estimates for costs, feeding, sleep, and supplies.
- Expecting parents planning a budget, a registry, or a nursery before the baby arrives.
- Caregivers, grandparents, and family members who help look after a baby and need the same numbers at their fingertips.
Our Editorial Approach
We aim to be practical and honest. Our calculators give you estimates for planning, not promises. Babies vary enormously, prices change, and real life rarely matches a tidy average, so we present ranges and assumptions clearly and encourage you to adjust the inputs to match your own situation.
We are especially careful with health-related topics. When a tool touches on feeding amounts, formula, sleep needs, or anything close to your child's wellbeing, we frame the output as general guidance only. We do not make medical claims, offer diagnoses, or suggest that a calculator can replace a pediatrician or other qualified professional.
Where it helps, we draw on widely trusted public-health and pediatric sources to ground our default values and explanations. We also revise our content as guidance and prices change, and we welcome corrections from readers who spot something that looks off.
Free and Private by Design
All of our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type stay on your device as you use a tool; we are not collecting your baby's details on a server in the background. This keeps the experience fast, works even on a shaky connection, and respects your privacy. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Our tools are, and are intended to remain, free to use. We may add privacy-respecting advertising in the future to help cover the cost of running the site, but the calculators themselves will stay open to everyone.
